The investigation, produced by SVT’s Uppdrag granskning and awarded Sweden’s prestigious investigative journalism prize, the Golden Spade, unfolds through first-hand testimony and painstaking reporting, revealing the human consequences behind the headlines.

Our assignment was to shoot the documentary, capturing the story with an observational approach and a strong sense of presence, while giving space to both the investigation and the people affected.
